The most common way to create a backup of Windows product key is using a script, which lets you save your product key in a text file so you can store it in a safe location. This method is fast and reliable (no physical work to do).

Step 1: Open Run command on your computer (you can do this by using the following keyboard combination: Win+R) and then enter Notepad in the input field.

Step 2: When the Notepad window shows up, enter the code mentioned in this link

Step 3: Now, click File at the top, then select Save As from the list of options. After that, select All Files in the Save As Type option, then provide a name to the file and add an extension to the right end of the file name: .vbs. For instance Windows10productkey.vbs

Step 4: Click Save to save the file. This step is to create a VBScript file that contains your Windows 10 product key. To access your key, simply double click the file. Make sure you store the key in a safe folder on your computer, so you can reinstall your device in case something goes wrong.

Alternatively, you can use the PowerShell script to create a backup of your Windows 10 product key. For those who don’t know, Windows PowerShell is a command-line tool that allows you to run certain commands and scripts to change your computer’s settings. Basically, PowerShell behaves the same way as the Command Prompt does in Windows, but it is more capable in terms of features and flexibility.

To create a backup of Windows 10 product key using PowerShell, just right-click the Windows10productkey.vbs file and then select Run with PowerShell. From here, Type Y and press Enter to confirm your action.

If you cannot find your Windows 10 product key, then we can help you out. Windows 10 is making it much easier to locate or extract the product key. With some simple steps, you can easily locate your precious activation key so you can store it in a safe location.

To do this, open Run on your computer, then type Regedit and hit the Enter button. Now, just enter the following command:

HKEY_LOCAL_ MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\windows NT\Currentversion”.

From the Registry Editor window, locate The DigitalProductID option.

That’s where your product key is located.
